I had to revisit our photo blog on Paris since I didn’t have the time (or dedication?) to write anything about the city – what surprised me was the feeling that there was something unique about Paris. Looking back at the pictures taken was a chance for me to revisit Paris. Paris has the ability to evoke feelings of romance, as much as the city is shaped by the citizens – the citizens are also shaped by the city. The fountains, churches, and little crepe shops run by gentlemen with great haircuts all helped shape us during our visit. Pam and I both felt a little more French, a little more inspired by the contagious optimism of the French people.
There was a moment in our visit that changed our perspective on Paris. A country that had been shaken by terrorist attacks on some of the most vulnerable citizens can be capable and justified of taking retribution, but what we saw was not people taking up arms but a peace rally in front of Notre Dame.
Here are some of the photos we took during our visit, Paris is everything you read about and more. If you’re interested in learning more about how to make your trip to Paris worthwhile check out our Travel Tips post on How to Visit France on a Budget. Merci beaucoup!
